Next Saturday, June 9, from 9 AM to 5 PM the Woolwich Fire Department will host its Second Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand in honor of Mario Carpino.
Mario Carpino, a second grader at Governor Charles C. Stratton School, has been battling four inoperable brain tumors since 2007. He is currently a chemotherapy patient at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and was inspired to host this event for three patient friends at CHOP: Leah, Jenna, and Lenny, all who lost their battle to childhood cancer.
In light of last year’s success (raising over $25,000!), the Woolwich Fire Department is eager to participate and hopes to raise even more money at this year’s event. Family friendly activities include a firetruck slide, dunk tank, face painting, balloon animals, DJ, Chinese Auction, and more!
Come out to support Mario Carpino and the Woolwich Fire Department, located at 1517 Kings Highway, in their fight against childhood cancer. Parking is available at The Margaret Clifford School on Auburn Avenue. For more information, click here to visit Woolwich Fire Department’s website.
