The Borough will kick off summer kayaking on Lake Narraticon with the first of two events on July 14, 10 AM – 3 PM. These events are presented in partnership with Splash and Paddle, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching local youth about water safety while having fun.

Lake Narraticon Park, where the events will be held, is a 200 acre area off Lake Avenue in Swedesboro. Consisting of the man-made lake and over 1.5 miles of trails, Lake Narraticon Park is a beautiful venue for nature lovers to enjoy this set of Splash and Paddle events. Keep your eyes peeled for birds (especially Wood Thrushes, who sing and nest at Lake Narraticon during June and July) and aquatic animals that call Lake Narraticon home! Take a seat on one of the benches along the trails to take in the views Lake Narraticon, the woodlands, and adjacent farmers’ fields.
