Dena DiBenardo first discovered a love of flowers while taking a floral design class with her mother, just for fun.  A business major in college, Dena had also earned her cosmetology license, and worked as a hairstylist for some time before discovering that her real passion was for flowers.  She began working for a company in the wedding industry, and soon began creating wedding arrangements as a side venture.  Dena opened up her first flower shop in Freehold, New Jersey with the launch of Fiori Bella Designs in 2009.  When the opportunity to expand her business arose, Dena and her fiancé Matthew Brooks opened Flowers By Dena in the Borough of Swedesboro in October, 2012.

Flowers By Dena offers gorgeous floral arrangements to suit a variety of occasions, from everyday expressions of caring to arrangements for parties, weddings, and corporate events.  Additionally, the shop carries a range of specialty items, such as gift baskets, marble night-lights, delicious David Bradley Chocolates, and clean burning Bridgewater Candle Company soy candles.  Dena is particularly excited about the store’s partnership with the candle company, as for every jar candle sold, a donation is made to Rice Bowl, a nonprofit organization that feeds orphaned children around the world.
