Frustrated by the lack of nearby options for women’s clothing, Sharon VanNoy-Frisby realized she had an opportunity to change the local market. She envisioned a boutique that would meets the needs of stylish, busy women such as working mothers- a place to experiment with different fashion trends, and to feel spoiled and special. Sharon decided to make her vision a reality, and on March 15th, 2013, South of SoHo celebrated its grand opening in the downtown business district of Swedesboro.
The store itself is a study in chic, with walls painted in bright, happy colors, and accented with stylish furnishings. The shop offers a variety of cute pieces in sizes 4-14, such as dresses, blouses, pants, camisoles, and leggings, and accessories such as shoes and handbags. There are style options for every occasion and budget, ranging from the everyday outfit to looks for dressier events, and smaller or larger sizes can be ordered as needed.
The shop features a number of designer labels, such as Maggie London and Kaye Unger, and will soon be offering pieces from the lines of Vince Camuto and Joseph Ribkoff (two of Sharon’s favorite designers!), as well as Enzo Angolini shoes. New items arrive daily, so you’ll want to stop in often to see what’s in stock! The store allows special orders for those who have a specific item in mind, and during prom season, prom dresses are available for order as well. Special ordered items typically arrive as quickly as 4 days from the order date, so for late May and early June proms, now is still a great time to come and pick out a dress!
The store offers fun specials, such as Two-For Tuesdays and Hump Day Wednesdays, which are announced on the South of SoHo Facebook page, and gift cards are available for purchase (a great gift for Mother’s Day!). The store is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and will offer expanded hours later this month. South of SoHo is located at 1330 Kings Highway, and online at . Please visit the South of SoHo Facebook page and give them a like, and if you have any questions, please give the shop a call at 856.906-6496. Welcome to the Borough, South of SoHo!
