Free Job Training Info Session at Swedesboro Library

This Wednesday, June 1st, Swedesboro Public Library will host 2 Free Job Training info sessions from 10:00am-12:00pm and 5:00pm-8:30pm.

The summer program will be taught by instructors from Rowan College at Gloucester County. Participants will have the opportunity to gain work credentials in the fields of health care, transportation, logistics and distribution as well as food service and safety.

Must be registered with the Gloucester County American Job Center in Thorofare.  To get information on how to qualify, please attend one of these info sessions.  Advanced registration is requested.  Please call the library.

Swedesboro honors Veterans, killed in action, with banners.

Swedesboro honors their Veterans who were killed in action with banners along Kings Highway from the Civil to Vietnam War. We have been fortunate not to have lost anyone since the Vietnam War.

IMG_4957This project was supported by Swedesboro Council and  spear-headed by Council members JoAnna Gahrs and Diane Hale. Some of our Service Men/Women are not yet posted since we do not have their branch of service or their rank. If anyone has good quality pictures of the Service Men/Women that are presently hung along Kings Highway and missing photos please contact Borough Hall. A list will be posted of those we are still searching for information.

Please join us on Monday for the Annual Memorial Day Service to be held at the Swedesboro/Woolwich Fire Station on Kings Highway.

Town-wide Yard Sale: June 4th

On Saturday, June 4, Swedesboro is hosting a town-wide yard sale.  Residents are welcome to register to have yard sales at their house. A list of participating addresses will be available online and at the Library on June 4.
