Trinity Episcopal Church has received word to begin collecting essential food and hygiene supplies for the people trapped in South Jersey shelters after Hurricane Sandy.
The following items are needed: boxes packed with blankets, clothes and shoes, canned tuna, stew, peanut butter granola bars, canned fruit, soup, powdered or canned milk, cereal, bottled water, cleaning supplies and especially baby supplies including diapers, clothes, wipes, bottles, formula.
Personal Hygiene Kits:
Individual personal female hygiene kit: plastic comb, toothpaste, tooth brush, lotion, shampoo, hand sanitizers, wash cloth, maxi-pads all packed into a quart or gallon sized Ziploc bag.
Individual personal Male hygiene kit: deodorant, plastic comb, toothpaste, tooth brush, lotion, shampoo, hand sanitizers, wash cloth, shaving cream, disposable razors all packed into a quart or gallon sized Ziploc bag.
Trinity Episcopal Parish House is now serving as a temporary staging area for items collected by the parish and other Swedesboro organizations. Please bring any of these items to the Parish House on Kings Highway, directly across the street from the church this Sunday, November 4, 2012.
The hall will remain open for members to drop off donations on Friday and Saturday, November 2nd and 3rd. The hall will also be open to receive donations throughout the week in order for others in the town to bring donations. Cardboard boxes are also requested for the packaging of items for delivery. The church will also ask those who have trucks to help with deliveries later next week.
