Swedesboro lights up blue for Autism Awareness Month

Message to Swedesboro businesses and residents:
It’s time to Light It Up Blue in Swedesboro again in honor of Autism Awareness Month and I am hoping that you will once again help Swedesboro stand out as a community that cares about all the people who deal with Autism on a daily basis.  I’m asking all businesses to consider swapping out one or more of your lights with a blue light from April 2 through April 30th.  If you want more information about this effort please check out this website – https://www.autismspeaks.org/liub
The town will be doing our part once again by lighting up our buildings with Blue Lights – please join us.

Free Movie in the Park Sept. 19th

Swedesboro Lake Park will play host to a free movie in the park on Friday, Sept. 19th at dusk. All are welcome to attend, so bring your whole family and chairs or blankets to enjoy the show. The event, made possible through Gloucester County Parks and Recreation, will feature Hotel Transylvania (Rated PG) on a large inflatable screen as well as free popcorn.

We are always looking for different ways to get residents down to enjoy our beautiful lake park. Last year’s event had a great turnout and we couldn’t wait to do it again.

Swedesboro Lake Park is situated along Lake Narraticon and located at the end of Park Avenue in town. Rain date is Saturday, Sept. 20.
