Dear Resident,

As your water service provider we would like to provide you information in regards to Fire Protection while our Water Tower is undergoing a complete rehabilitation. During this project the Borough’s water storage capacity is significantly below normal levels. In anticipation of this reduced storage capacity during the renovation project, the Borough and the Woolwich Fire Company implemented an action plan to provide fire service without jeopardizing the drinking water supply for the Borough’s customers. Through increasing available water trucks in conjunction with existing mutual aid agreements with neighboring fire companies, the Woolwich Fire Chief and County Fire Marshal have assured us that fire protection service will not be negatively impacted.

Several property owners have requested that the Borough apply for the necessary NJ DEP permits to lower the water level in Lake Narraticon for a short period of time to allow them to complete maintenance work that will require the level to be lowered for access to the area. Continue reading
