The cozy little shop sits nestled along Kings Highway, tucked just away from the road. Bob DiBella, owner of Antiques to Remember, originally owned a silk screening business before falling in love with collecting unique treasures. Realizing he could translate his passion for finding these special items into a business venture, Bob created an eBay store filled with his favorites before eventually opening Antiques to Remember in November of 2010. His first shop launched in nearby Gibbstown, with his new Swedesboro location opening earlier this year. Local Business Spotlight: Mattioni Ltd
Nestled quietly among the historic homes in downtown Swedesboro is a modest brick colonial that houses one of the Delaware Valleyâs prestigious law firms. Much like the historic Kate Talman house it occupies, Mattioni, Ltd has an intriguing background. The firm was founded in 1963 in Philadelphia by Dante Mattioni, and its initial partnership was formed shortly after in 1965. The company’s founding members are the five Mattioni brothers: Dante, Faustino, John, Eugene, and Blasco. Continue reading
Local Business Spotlight: Botto’s Italian Market!
A passion for food runs in the Botto family. Robert Botto Sr.’s parents, Vincenzo and Domenica operated a produce retail company in Philadelphia, running the business from the time of the Great Depression until Vincenzo’s passing. Following in their parents’ footsteps, the Bottos’ sons Henry and Joseph opened a food market in Swedesboro, in the location that presently houses Pat’s Pizzeria. Continue reading
