Food Truck Festival and Dancing in the Park is back for Summer 2024!

Two Great Events in One!

Dancing in the Park is held in conjunction with Food Truck Thursday at the Swedesboro Auction Park, 101 Leahy Ave.  Come enjoy a fun family night of delicious food and incredible music.

Our Food Truck Festivals are your chance to head to the Swedesboro Auction Park (101 Leahy Avenue) and enjoy some tasty food and drink from a variety of area food trucks and vendors! This is a family friendly foodie event! There will be some games and background music to enjoy as you dig in and enjoy the music!

Food Truck Festivals & Dancing in the Park will be held throughout Summer on the Fourth Thursday of the Months of June, July & August.

What you need to know:

Parking: Parking is available at the Swedesboro Auction Park 101 Leahy Avenue.

Weather: In the event of excessive heat, we will make fans and misting machines available for folks to cool off.

Time: There will be a performance geared towards the kids beginning at 7pm.  The main act will take the stage from 8pm – 10pm.

Family Fun:  These concerts have been well attended by all ages and everyone from young and old have had a blast so bring the whole family!

Chairs: We encourage everyone to bring their comfortable camping chairs.

Accepting Applications for Part-Time Fire Inspector/Fire Fighter.

PART TIME FIRE INSPECTOR

The Swedesboro Fire Bureau is accepting Applications for Part Time Per-
Diem Fire Inspector / Fire Fighter. Application period is open from March 4,
2024 to March 18, 2024. Applications must be picked up from Swedesboro
Boro Hall, 1500 Kings Highway, Swedesboro, NJ 08085 between hours of
8am – 4pm. All Applications must be returned by March 18, 2024 for
consideration.
• Applicants must have minimum valid NJ Division of Fire Safety Fire
Inspectors Certification per NJAC 5:71.
• Minimum 3 years as Firefighter / Fire Inspector and at least 21 years of
age.
• Knowledge of NJ Uniform Fire Code and Local Ordinances.
• Valid NJ Driver’s License.
• Applicants must be a United States Citizen and Resident of New Jersey.
• Applicants must undergo a Background Check.
• Applicants must exhibit Professional, Positive Customer Service Skills.
• Excellent Verbal and Written Skills.
• Organized and attentive to details.
Duties Included:
▪ Perform Field Inspections on LHU and Non-LHU Buildings.
▪ Conduct Fire Inspections, write Violations, submit Reports to the
Swedesboro Fire Official.
▪ Respond to Local Fire Calls while on duty.
▪ Other Duties as directed by the Swedesboro Fire Bureau Fire
Official.

Accepting Applications for Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Position

The Borough of Swedesboro is currently offering a full-time position of Deputy Borough Clerk/Treasurer, working within the Borough Clerk’s office. This is a highly confidential position requiring discretion.

Interested applicants must have at least three years office experience, preferably in municipal
government, proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Access, Excess and Edmunds, exceptional customer service skills and a high level of professionalism. Certified Municipal Registrar and Registered Municipal Clerk certifications preferred or willingness to obtain are required. Ability to work independently and to take initiative are required.

Hours: Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 8:00 a. m. – 4:30 p. m. Friday 8:00 a.m.-Noon. Additional hours are required twice monthly for Council meetings, for all elections and other special circumstances. This position requires a person who is at least 21 years of age and a U.S. Citizen per NJSA 40A:9-133.2. An example of job responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  •  Perform all duties of the Municipal Clerk in their absence.
  • Permits/Licensing, including:  Dogs & Cats, Hunting, Special Events, Solicitors, Bingo, Raffle, Landlord, etc.
  • Creating, processing and distributing resolutions, ordinances, council packets, legal notices, meeting minutes, and other items for council meetings.
  • Serve as Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics processing marriage licenses, certified copies, births, and submitting monthly/quarterly reports etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the office of the clerk (filing, typing, scanning, data entry, meeting minutes)
  • Providing Notary services both in house and to the public
  • Performs job functions related to elections
  • Receives and processes payments and assists with daily and monthly financial reporting
